⚠️ Demo Mode Limitations
This starter provides an interactive UI foundation. Records are saved in ephemeral demo memory and browser localStorage. It does not provide private, multi-user, or persistent storage until you connect an external database (e.g. Supabase or Cloudflare D1) and configure real authentication.

💡 Moving from Demo to Production (3 Steps)

  1. Persistent Database: Connect /functions/api/data.js to a managed database (such as Supabase PostgreSQL or Cloudflare D1) and enforce table-level permissions.
  2. Real Authentication: Replace the demo token check in /functions/api/auth.js with cryptographic JWT verification via Supabase Auth or Clerk.
  3. Email Forwarding: Set RESEND_API_KEY and CONTACT_RECIPIENT_EMAIL in your .env file or Cloudflare Pages environment variables to receive live contact submissions.
